Relevant policies
We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. This statement and a number of our policies reflect our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships, and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our business and in our supply chains.
We operate a number of internal policies to ensure that we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner.
These include:
Recruitment - we operate a robust recruitment policy, including conducting eligibility to work in the UK checks for all employees to safeguard against human trafficking or individuals being forced to work against their will.
Whistleblowing - our whistleblowing policy ensures that all employees know that they can raise concerns about how colleagues are being treated, or practices within our business or supply chain, without fear of reprisal.
Health and Safety - this policy sets out our approach to ensure we provide a healthy working environment for our staff and contractors that work out of our premises.
Our values - our values make clear to our employees the actions and behaviour expected of them when representing Danger Farms. We strive to maintain the highest standards of employee conduct and ethical behaviour when operating and managing our supply chain.
Our supply chains
Our supply chains are based throughout the world, primarily for the provision of indirect services (professional services, SAAS, sales and marketing). We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking. To ensure all those in our supply chain and contractors comply with our values we operate in line with principles of responsible sourcing, including paying employees at the prevailing minimum wage applicable within their relevant country of operations. We have in place a Supplier Code of Conduct which outlines our expectations. The relevant account managers will monitor and enforce compliance of the Supplier Code of Conduct.
Further steps
We intend to take the following further steps to combat slavery and human trafficking:
1. risk assess all new suppliers and ask them to certify that they have taken steps to eradicate modern slavery within their own organisation and supply chain;
2. notify all existing suppliers of our expectations and their obligations in relation to the prohibition of modern slavery;
3. incorporate anti-slavery and human trafficking obligations into any and all arrangements entered into;provide training to relevant employees to ensure a high level understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking; and
4. where appropriate we will include reference to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 in our policies and procedures.
