At a company where image is everything, Farfetch's ads needed to be captivating. This requires time, and a lot of it.The process to date involved designers creating motion-based digital adverts, and converting them into video and animated images. This was tedious and slow. What used to take days, could now be done in minutes
After several tests on existing technologies, we knew we could solve the problem in an amazing way – create a few stunning visual templates that could be viewed in the browser, and give Farfetch marketers the ability to create new ads through a small web application.
The templates automatically adjusted for different word lengths, looking equally stunning with Nike or Yves Saint Laurent. All the marketeer needed to do was upload some photos, and type in the name of the brand and product, and out came digital assets in all shapes and sizes ready to be uploaded to Instagram, Facebook and any other platform they desired.
